So this week has been a bit of a planning/review week. Shaye has been reviewing her multiplication tables and began reading a new book called Vet Volunteer - Fight For Life. Shaye is planning on being a veterinarian when she grows up. Hopefully in a year or two we can get her volunteering at our local pet clinic.
I have been working on her curriculum and lesson plans. I still have a bit to do, but by Monday we should be ready to officially begin.
This year we are planning on joining a home school group called CHAMPS. They meet every Thursday from 11:00am to 1:00pm. It's a social outlet for children and parents but they also have a different educational activity each week, have physical education, and go on field trips. We've been a couple of times in the past years, but this year we are planning on joining full time.
We are thinking about joining a science class that meets every other Thursday. I have to get more details on this one and apply. The only problem is that we would only get to go to CHAMPS every other Thursday. We will see.
